Meet the Doctor
Dr. Avilés earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Boston University in Massachusetts. He received his Doctoral degree and certificate of Endodontics with Honors from the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Dentistry, also receiving awards from the American Academy of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and the American College of Prosthodontics. He has been dedicated exclusively to Endodontic care since 1997.
Family ties and a love for the outdoors prompted his decision to come to Bellevue in 2004. He and his wife María have two children.
Dr. Avilés is a Board-eligible member of the American Association of Endodontists, as well as a member of the American Dental Association, the Washington Dental Association, and the Seattle-King County Dental Society. He is also an inductee of the National Dental Honor Society, Omicron Kappa Upsilon.
Dr. Avilés has been selected as one of Seattle’s Top Dentists in the specialty of Endodontics by the publication Seattle Met Magazine in 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, and 2013 through 2020 which surveys greater Seattle area dentists and asks them whom would the entrust with the dental care of their own family members. He is also a volunteer with Seattle Donated Dental Services (DDS).
